Communication, Procedure, Posting
Clear and concise visual references of the character for commission must be provided by the Client. Ambiguity may negatively affect time frame and desired results. The Artist will not discuss a commission with the Client via public forum.
Communications about commissions between Client and Artist will be made through the according note system to the user's provided site, or e-mail ([email protected]) for record-keeping purposes.
The Artist reserves the right to issue a refund and cancel a commission due to poor communication, rude or inappropriate behavior, or inability to communicate in effective English.
The Artist ensures the Client will receive updates on commission when necessary. Clients are encouraged to check in when they feel it’s necessary for updates, assurance or reminders. Public updates will also be made via journals or posts as appropriate.
The Artist reserves the right to reject any commission for any reason.
The Client gets one (1) sketch (small fixes are included), with up to two (2) re-sketches if dissatisfied with the first product shown. Variations within style category are welcome to discussion. When the final piece is shown, the Client has more chances to recommend revisions such as missing collars, markings or character accessories, etc.
The Artist retains the right to display all commissioned work on any personal website, gallery, or journal. The Artist may delay public showcase at the Client’s request. The Client may request the commissioned work not be displayed. The Artist retains ALL the rights to the commissioned artwork, including the right to make prints and merchandise. Image rights can be negotiated for an added fee. The Client retains all rights to their respective characters. This does not allow them rights to the commissioned artwork.
The Client is NOT allowed to post the images in certain galleries besides listed ones during selection process in the form, provided credit is visible and using the provided watermarked image. The Client may make a print of the commission for themselves. The Client may NOT distribute, alter, sell, reproduce, etc without prior arrangement, in which case, additional fees may be attached.
The Artist may recycle sketches and preparatory works that were rejected by the Client for other commissions or personal works. The Client may not have the Artist’s work in any stage taken, and altered by any artist or person other than the Artist without written or expressed permission.
